Dr. G. Naveen Babu obtained his BE, ME and Ph.D. degrees in 2002, 2004 and 2013 respectively. In 2011, after his seven years of teaching and research experience at undergraduate and Masters level, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, India, as a founding faculty. He was also the Coordinator of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering before he moved to the University of Alberta, Canada, to pursue post-doctoral research in the field of Microwave Tubes. From 2014 to 2015, he completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada. He currently continues to work on slow wave structures, fast wave analysis of slow wave structures, fundamental electromagnetic theory, and microwave circuits and antennas. His research area is Microwave Engineering with focus towards travelling wave tubes. He also works on metamaterial dielectric lenses and design of antennas. He has interests in renewable energy and energy auditing procedures. He has authored/coauthored a few important papers on helical slow-wave structures. He brings with him more than 13 years of teaching experience.
