Vinay Sharma earned a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2012 from Punjab Technical University in Jalandhar, India. He received his Master of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Thapar University in Patiala, India, in 2015. In 2021, he graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Shiv Nadar University in Greater Noida, India. In 2022, he began his career in the technology sector by joining Intel Corporation (Bangalore) as a Post Silicon Validation Engineer at the IPEG.

Projects

PhD Projects:

  1. Planar device design: Patch Antenna, uniform phase array and phase shifter are designed. A full-wave simulation is conducted using CST microwave studio. The structures are fabricated on FR4 material using Photo Lithography. The fabricated antenna was then tested using Vector Network Analyzer.
  2. Horn and Coil Antenna Design: The antennas were designed for S-Band using waste material. The fabricated design validates simulation.
  3. Tattoo Antenna: A wearable antenna is simulated in CST Microwave Studio for IoT application.   The design is fabricated on transparency using conductive ink  

  Masters Projects:

  1. Audio Watermarking via EMD:  A research paper is implemented in MATLAB with detailed mathematical modelling for understanding empirical mode decomposition.
  2. Noise removal from received QPSK signal using Adaptive filtering: Formulate mathematical model and simulate in MATLAB. This project was part of the Coursework in Adaptive Digital Signal Processing.
  3. Fuzzy inference system: Fuzzy Logic was used to find dependencies of five interdependent systems. The outcome of the system was correlated to formulate probability models for each system, simulation was conducted using MATLAB.

Bachelors’ Projects

  1. Electronic Voting Machine: A microcontroller 8051 based major project.  
  2. Temperature measurer and controller: A microcontroller-based system used in chemical boilers. The main objective of this project was to sense the temperature in the boiler and control the heat inside the boiler.

Diploma Project 

  1. Ultrasonic Distance Meter: A microcontroller 8051 based project to measure distance using ultrasonic sensors.
